Cyrus is an illustrator, muralist, and fine artist residing in St. Petersburg, FL.
Since childhood Cyrus has made sense of the world through folklore and whimsical imagery. Early inspirations include a neighborhood graffiti murals, playing the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland for youth theater, Roald Dahl, and Steve Irwin, and Bear in the Big Blue House.Their life long curious nature has led them to focus on themes from folklore and our precious natural world. They are unafraid to use whimsical imagery to explore the more haunting parts of life, using vibrant color and shape theory to and make ideas palatable for all ages.
Cyrus grew up in the theater and loved designing plays oriented for children in college and high school. Since 2015 they have participated and curated in their local fine art scene, often promoting LGBTQ diversity. Since 2020, they have worked on six public art murals to educate the public on the environmental importance of protecting our waterways and storm drains. Since 2021 they have run a patreon that has allowed them to create stickers, postcards, and paper goods, as well as make hundreds of coloring illustrations used in children’s play camps, libraries, and class rooms independently distributed.
Cyrus currently welcomes creative projects that encourage creative thinking, speak of caring for our natural world, and encourages messages of adventure and kindness.
